Regeneration Through Innovation The Shoreditch Trust is a 10 year, £60m regeneration programme for Shoreditch. It is funded through the Government’s New Deal for the Communities programme, and began in 2000. The area covered includes 22,000 households and 1,000+ SMEs. The Trust is now half way through its programme and is looking to develop a long term means of sustainability. The core of its approach is social enterprise: the Trust is in the process of initiating a series of social enterprises that will deliver its social objectives and surplus revenue to fund regeneration activity. Each of these social enterprises is being undertaken with market leading commercial partners, ensuring an effective combination of private sector expertise and public sector understanding. The most significant of these social enterprises is Digital Bridge. This document sets out a description of the Digital Bridge, its content and delivery schedule.
